A DIY pallet art tutorial you don’t want to miss

What would motivate me to write a blog post first thing on a Saturday morning? How about this incredible, Faux Pallet Art Flag by Johnnie over at Saved by Love Creations? I am so enchanted by Johnnie’s artwork and tutorial, and I wanted to share it while you had time to make it this weekend. Can you believe this isn’t really wood?

Tutorial to make faux pallet art from Johnnie at Saved by Love Creations. Fabulous idea! Repurposing shipping pallets into pallet art and even furniture is very trendy. But it’s not for the faint of heart. I mean, we’re talking power tools, a lot of muscles and sweat, and then there’s wrestling your creation while trying to hang it on the wall. Intimidating, right?

Well, here’s Johnnie’s answer to all of that – pallet art made with sheets of STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam and a bucket of Smooth Finish®. No power tools needed; you can lift it with a finger; hang it with poster putty or self-adhesive strips; and if it falls, you’re in no danger of injury. Genius!

Johnnie also has a giveaway for the materials to make your own pallet art, so go on over and see her tutorial. And give it a try this weekend.

And don’t forget about the Crafts ‘n Coffee giveaway — the Summer Boredom Buster prize package I announced yesterday.

Happy crafting!
