Mad for plaid Christmas décor (made with old shirts!)

‘Tis the season for bursting budgets and stressed schedules, so this week I’ve shared a few ideas for making easy, repurposed Christmas décor. Well, would you be surprised to know that designer Eddie Ross decorated Frank & Kathie Lee Gifford’s beautiful, waterfront home with . . . plaid shirts from the Goodwill? Yes indeed, even celebrity homes are sporting repurposed Christmas décor!

Eddie will show you how to make your own Plaid Shirt Ornaments and Plaid Ornament Garland, and he shares more photos of the Gifford’s lovely home, too. If you can use scissors, you can make these festive plaid decorations in a jiffy. This could be a fun activity for family and friends of all ages as you gather together this holiday weekend.

It’s time to announce the winner of our last Christmas giveaway today. Thank you to everyone who shared their fun, Christmas dessert traditions, from cookies to ice cream. Amy Pinion is the lucky winner of the yummy book Dessert Bouquets (Amy shared that her family enjoys baking and noshing on Christmas cookies). Please contact me, Amy , so I can arrange to ship out your book.

Happy Christmas crafting,
