It’s a carnival of kids’ crafts today with a kids’ craft roundup

As a working mom, I struggle with August. Most camps and other summer activities are over, yet there are still a few more weeks till school starts. What’s a mom to do?? So you don’t pull out your hair, or your kids don’t chant “I’m so bored” one more time, today I’m sharing a roundup of kids’ crafts to help you get through the next few weeks. These crafts for kids are cute, colorful, and use lots of simple materials. Encourage your kids to DIY these crafts their own way, and make something they love.

My first stop today is Parents.com, which has a slide show of colorful crafts for kids  designed by Kathleen George. Trust me, Kathleen knows what kids like. For example, how about using that adorable yet mismatched sock to make a Sock Caterpillar? Or, what about making Boats that float (and staging races in an inflatable pool)?

My final advice for summertime fun? Celebrate National S’mores Day today! Do you have plans to celebrate with a s’more this weekend?

Happy crafting!
