Raise your hand if your child’s bedroom walls are covered in posters (see my hand, way up high?). Maybe you’d like a more finished or custom look for your daughter’s room? Well, here are three easy, DIY wall art ideas that definitely look custom and a whole lot nicer than the latest Biebs poster.
You’ve seen our DIY scrapbook paper wall art, haven’t you? Here’s a way to change it up for a child’s bedroom. To customize mine, I painted wooden letters and flowers and then glued them on to the wall art squares. The wood shapes are available in lots of different themes, so let your daughter – or son, pick out something they really like.
Do you have favorite photos of your daughter and her BFF? It’s easy enough these days to order enlargements, (ours measure 10” x 10”) and then mount them on a 1” x 12” x 12” sheet of STYROFOAM Brand Foam. And speaking of BFFs, this would be a really cute way to showcase photos of your daughter and her favorite pet, too.
For a little unexpected dimension, you can “frame” super-sized flowers and hang them on your wall. When I saw these huge gerbera daisies, it was love at first sight. This is another easy one to change up depending on the background papers and flower colors you choose.
