Kid’s room re-do: A few cute ideas you can DIY for a girl’s bedroom

Raise your hand if your child’s bedroom walls are covered in posters (see my hand, way up high?). Maybe you’d like a more finished or custom look for your daughter’s room? Well, here are three easy, DIY wall art ideas that definitely look custom and a whole lot nicer than the latest Biebs poster.

DIY easy scrapbook paper wall art

Scrapbook paper wall art is super-easy to customize for any room in the house.

You’ve seen our DIY scrapbook paper wall art, haven’t you? Here’s a way to change it up for a child’s bedroom. To customize mine, I painted wooden letters and flowers and then glued them on to the wall art squares. The wood shapes are available in lots of different themes, so let your daughter – or son, pick out something they really like.

DIY girl's room wall art with photos

Enlarge favorite, BFF photos and mount them on a foam square.

Do you have favorite photos of your daughter and her BFF? It’s easy enough these days to order enlargements, (ours measure 10” x 10”) and then mount them on a 1” x 12” x 12” sheet of STYROFOAM Brand Foam. And speaking of BFFs, this would be a really cute way to showcase photos of your daughter and her favorite pet, too.

DIY Girls Bedroom Wall Art

Wall art with flower power!

For a little unexpected dimension, you can “frame” super-sized flowers and hang them on your wall. When I saw these huge gerbera daisies, it was love at first sight. This is another easy one to change up depending on the background papers and flower colors you choose.

  2. I would love to take the Beibs posters down! My fave is the daisies. My daughter’s name is Daisey, she would go wild over wall art like that! Thanks for sharing! 🙂

My kitchen is decorated with daisy items and I have a few loose fake ones floating around so know ideas are floating around in my head to make this. Thanks.

Now this is something for my daughters’ room. Much better than their wall art. 🙂 thanks for the great inspiration.
