Whoa, we had an overwhelming response to our DIY Wall Art feature last Friday. Seems everyone is looking for cheap and easy ways to refurbish their homes, and wall art made with scrapbook paper and foam is just that. (It’s one reason we call our home décor program Great Décor in a Flash – Without a Lot of Cash.)
In hindsight, to make the wall art even easier, I should have included our video tutorial, Scrapbook Home Décor. But, better late than never! In the video, the charming and talented Candie Cooper shows how to cut foam sheets to size, apply the adhesive (we recommend Yes! Paste for this project), cover the edges, and then how to hang it. (How great is this – you can hang this wall art WITHOUT putting holes in your walls!)
Another idea Candie includes is to layer on a die-cut sheet for a little more depth, like the one shown in our living room photo at the top of the page. And as a bonus, you can use leftover papers to make a coordinating deco cube or pedestal. There’s a lot packed in this six-minute tutorial, so without further ado, here’s Candie:
