Ham? Check! Scalloped Potatoes? Check! Molded salad? Yep! Easter candy? Absolutely!! Centerpiece?? Uh oh . . . You’ve probably planned your menu for Easter Sunday, but what about the centerpiece? A centerpiece can really help make a meal special, and we have several easy-peasy ideas for your springtime celebrations.
Knowing that you’re already pretty busy, I’ve selected designs that are quick and easy to make, and better yet, they don’t scream “Easter”, so you can display them for a while and next spring, too. You can easily adapt all three designs to your own style – change out fabric for paper, or use your own favorite colors. Don’t like tulips or gerbera daisies? Try lilies or daffodils – whatever you like! In fact, here are two different ways to create the tulip centerpiece – a springtime pink and green combo that uses fabric, and a sleeker, more contemporary version covered in paper that looks like stainless steel.

And now, I’d like to announce the winners in last week’s giveaways:
First, Clare Groninga wins the materials to make her own PEEPS Topiary for the comment she posted on Crafts ‘n Coffee. Thank you, Clare, for participating. Please contact us with your address and whether or not you’d like us to send you bunny or chick marshmallow PEEPS for your topiary.
We also have three crafters who each won a dozen eggs of STYROFOAM Brand Foam after posting pictures of their Easter crafts made with STYROFOAM Brand Foam on our Facebook page. Niki Meiners, Radu Ionelia Maria and Debra Quartermain all posted photos of their Easter crafts last week – be sure to check out their designs. Nikki, Radu and Debra, if you’re reading this, please get in touch and let us know your mailing address.
Congratulations, Clare, Nikki, Radu and Debra!
We have another giveaway this week, and it’s for an original design by Debra Quartermain, the self-described Creative Eternal Optimist or CEO. Debra is an artist, a licensed designer, author, creativity coach, and so much more. Her designs are always a favorite, especially those she makes with STYROFOAM Brand Foam. This is your chance to win one of Debra’s original designs, which also appeared in the April issue of Crafts ‘n Things magazine.
To win this sweet stack of needlefelted spring birds, leave a comment here at Crafts ‘n Coffee, or on our StyroCrafts’ Facebook page, and answer the question “what is the last craft you made with STYROFOAM Brand Foam?” We’ll select a winner at the end of the day Friday.
Good luck, and I can’t wait to hear from you!
