It’s easy enough to change the color of the crepe paper to match any color theme.

To make a Crepe Paper Rose, you’ll need:

  • Crepe paper
  • Adhesive tape
  • Scissors

To make a Crepe Paper Rose:

1. Cut a 24” length of crepe paper. Fold one end at a right angle, and then fold the folded edge again to create the center of the rose.

2. Working with a short length of the crepe paper, fold it in half, and wrap it around the center. The folded edge will be the top of the rose. Keep a firm grip on the stem end.

3. Repeat, folding and wrapping small sections of the crepe paper streamer, until all of it is wrapped around the rose center. Secure the end with a small piece of tape.

4. Press and shape the rose petals to create a balanced round shape and use small pieces of adhesive tape to secure any loose edges to the back of the rose and the stem.

So pretty! Here's how to make a Crepe Paper Rose Topiary. CraftsnCoffee.com.

Working from the bottom up, spiral the roses around the cone.

To make a Crepe Paper Rose Topiary, you’ll need:

  • STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam: 10” cone (or other size of your choice)
  • Crepe paper: One roll each bright green, light blue and white (or your favorite colors)
  • Thick, white craft glue (optional)
  • Tools needed: Scissors; adhesive tape; straight pins

To make the Crepe Paper Rose Topiary:
1. Make 13 crepe paper roses from each color of crepe paper, for a total of 39 roses. The final number you’ll need may vary, based on the size of your cone, and how you space the roses on the cone.

2. Insert a straight pin through the stem end and into the cone of STYROFOAM Brand Foam.

3. Repeat, pinning on roses in a spiral around the cone.

4. Optional: Add a dab of glue to the pin or the base of the roses to help hold them in place.

To make a Crepe Paper Roses Candle Cube, you’ll need:

  • STYROFOAM Brand Foam: 5” cube
  • Crepe paper: one roll each bright green, light blue and white
  • Tissue paper in turquoise
  • Scrapbook paper or ribbon in white, silver or other coordinating color*
  • Low-temp glue gun
  • Thick, white craft glue (optional)
  • Tools needed: Scissors; adhesive tape; straight pins

*Diane used a decorative paper ribbon made by Offray, however, it’s not readily available and may be hard to find. Step 2 has a few suggestions for substitutions.

To make a Crepe Paper Roses Candle Cube:

1. Wrap the foam cube in a sheet of tissue paper, just like wrapping a package. Wrap as neatly as possible, taking extra care around the corners.

2. Wrap a decorative ribbon around the cube and secure the ends with adhesive tape. The Offray ribbon Diane used may not be available, so you could also make decorative ribbon with:

  • Scrapbook paper
  • White paper with a decorative design made with paper punches
  • Lace, ribbon or fabric

3. Make six or more crepe paper roses.

4. Glue candle to the center of the cube. The candle is heavy and this won’t be a secure hold, but it will keep the candle in place if you have to move the candle cube around a little.

5. Pin and glue the crepe paper roses around the candle.

To make the Crepe Paper Roses Pomander, you will need:

  • STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam: 4” ball
  • Crepe paper: One roll each bright green, light blue and white
  • Ribbon, 12” (if hanging the pomander)
  • Thick, white craft glue (optional)
  • Tools needed: Scissors; adhesive tape; straight pins

If you prefer, you can add a ribbon to hang the pomander.

1. Make 33 – 36 crepe paper roses. The final number you’ll need may vary, based on how large your roses are and how you space the roses on the ball.

2. Insert a straight pin through the stem end and into the foam ball.

3. Continue adding roses to the foam ball till the ball is covered.

4. Optional: Add a dab of glue to the pin or the base of the roses to help hold them in place.

5. To hang the pomander: Knot together the ends of the ribbon, add a dab of glue to the knot, and push the knot into the foam ball using a wooden skewer. Let glue dry before hanging.

Those are so beautiful and they are made from crepe paper?! Wow For my sister’s 1st baby shower I made an 8ft long 4inch thick flower garland out of tissue papers (took for ever). The wind kept swinging it around until it snapped into 2 pieces, but people still thought it was pretty

It does sound very pretty, and I bet it did take forever! And it made for beautiful memories. These pretty rolled roses are made from crepe paper, and they’re quite sweet, don’t you think? Smaller than tissue paper flowers, though. Thanks for sharing! Sharon
