Am I the only one who scans the Duck Tape® display, always scouting for new patterns? Some days I wonder if I need a Duck Tape intervention. I added another roll to my stash this weekend when I noticed that my favorite Peacock Feather Duck Tape was back in stock at WalMart. Do you remember the Peacock Feather Duck Tape Christmas Wreath and Garland I made? Well, this pattern isn’t just for Christmas – here are the DIY Peacock Duck Tape Deco Spheres I made for a year-round display.
How pretty are these? And, these Duct Tape Deco Spheres are so super-fast and super-simple. You can easily make them for every season. I’ll skip the usual tutorial, and walk you through the two steps. Take your ball of STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam, any size will do, and your roll of Duck Tape, and then:
1. Tear a length of Duck Tape from the roll. Make it a length you find easy to work with; it could be as short as 18”, or as long as 30” – 36”. Much longer than that, however, and your tape will tangle.
2. Tear the strip into three strips. Wrap each strip around the ball of STYROFOAM Brand Foam till it’s covered. The tape will stick to itself, and there’s no need for glue. And that’s it!
And now I’m wondering if I should have bought two rolls of the Peacock Feather Duck Tape . . . Could I be a Duck Tape hoarder? Tell me I’m not the only one with a Duck Tape collection. Do you have a favorite pattern of Duck Tape?
