Today I’m sharing two pretty, Ruffled Felt Valentine Wreaths. Felt crafts are always appealing, and this ruffled felt technique is hot. Cutting out all of the felt circles is the hardest part, but if you’re lucky enough to have a die-cutting machine, you can automate this step. If you want to try felt ruffling on a smaller scale, check out these Ruffled Cupcakes.
Donna at Party Wishes has double doors and made a Ruffled Heart Wreath for each door. Imagine the number of felt circles she had to cut out! Donna offers a helpful tip, too – she used the bottom of a drinking glass for her pattern. The photo links to her complete tutorial.
For a variation on a theme, here’s the Ruffled Felt Heart created by Jennifer from Lasting Memories. At the time that she made this wreath, Jennifer had a scrapbook store and had access to a commercial die-cutting machine, lucky gal. Click on the photo for Jennifer’s tutorial.
If you can’t find the heart size or shape you need, you can also cut it out from a 1” sheet of STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam. Now that I think about it, you could even cut out a four-leaf clover and make a Ruffled Clover for St. Patrick’s Day . . . hmmm . . .
It’s Valentine Wreath Week on Crafts ‘n Coffee and I still have a few more wreaths to share. See you tomorrow!
