Last weekend, we had a little PEEPS party and a whole lot of fun. If you’ve followed Crafts ‘n Coffee, you know that I’m a fan of PEEPS® (are you a PEEPS geek if you visit the Peeps & Company Store in National Harbor, MD?). So, when Just Born, maker of marshmallow PEEPS®, asked if I’d like to craft with Christmas PEEPS, I said yes, please. Then, a HUGE box of PEEPS showed up, and we knew what we had to do – have a PEEPS Christmas crafting party.
Now, don’t these look like fun?
So, Thanksgiving weekend, my daughter invited over a few of her peeps for cocoa and crafts. The girls had their choice of making PEEPS wreaths or PEEPS topiaries. The girls chose to make topiaries, and I made a Christmas PEEPS wreath.

Now, I’ve always used a low-temp glue gun to make my PEEPS crafts, but we wanted to use frosting this time so that the girls could eat the PEEPS later (and no one would suffer a glue gun burn). After conducting a little research, my daughter determined that Pillsbury Whipped Supreme Frosting had the right texture to hold the PEEPS in place. It’s a little more challenging (and messy) to craft with the frosting, but if you think you might want to eat your PEEPS topiary, it’s the way to go.

And, here they are. Don’t you love the variety? (A caution about adding food coloring to your frosting — it changes the consistency of the frosting, and it doesn’t hold as well. I recommend using it “as is”, straight out of the can.)

While the girls were making their topiaries, I made a Christmas PEEPS Holiday Wreath. This is a super-easy wreath – two steps and about 30 minutes and you’re done. Here’s how you can make one, too:
1. Wrap your wreath with ribbon. Pin and spot glue the ends of the ribbon to the back of the wreath.
Wrap your wreath ring of STYROFOAM Brand Foam with colorful ribbon.
2. Arrange your PEEPS on the wreath and then glue in place. Ta da!
This one is so easy — you can have a Marshmallow PEEPS wreath hanging on your door in about 30 minutes. Really!
Yep, it’s that complicated. I decided to embellish mine with ornaments, and I threaded two ornaments onto ribbons, and then pinned and glued the ribbon to the back of the wreath. To hang the wreath, tie a 6” – 8” length of ribbon in a loop, and pin and glue it to the back of the wreath.

I would share with my neice who had a baby last year. She and I have followed, looked, eat, and numerous things with Peeps. This would give her a chance to start Peeping with her daughter. Of course I would have to taste test some of them to make sure they are all as good as they look.
I would use the kit as a oroject with my kids in Children’s Church. I try to have a different craft for them every year, and this would really be different! They would be able to give the projects they make as gifts.
I think this party pack would make a nice Christmas party for the young children in my life.
I would have a peeps party with my Girl Scout troop!
I would love to have a family craft night. between my boyfriend and i there is a 13 year old, a 7 year old and a 5 year old; we are so busy and crazy with everyone’s schedules! turn the tv off, clear off the table and have at it! it would be a great and messy night.
I love Peeps. What a great way to have a party. I believe I would take it with me to California when I visit my daughter and family. What a great way to begin a tradition! I have 2 year old granddaughter. HA! I can hear it now, ” Too much sugar, Mom.” I think those are my words to my mom. LOL
Wow a whole bunch of smiles in one place. I have grandkids who love making crafts from Peeps, what they don’t eat first, of course grandma helps there.Winning a gift pack of Peeps would sure be fun.
My sister is a Peeps-aholic. Her birthday is 12/18. We would use the Peeps Party Pack to celebrate in Peeps Style!
Love these ideas! I would let my 2 grandchildren (4 & 5) create their own trees, and maybe make some peeps on skewers , lots of great ideas!
Every year we have a cookie decorating and caroling party for my daughters and their friends. I know the girls would LOVE to make topiaries too (and then make I could make a few less cutout cookies)! SO cute! ~Cindy H
I would host a Peeps wreath making party with my sisters. They live 2 hours away and I don’t get to spend time with them often. They are my best friends and I really miss our time together.
I think it would be super-fun to make a Peeps topiary and then making hanging ornaments for the tree with any remaining peeps. And I have two girls in my house that would love that, AND probably brag to all their friends about it!
A wreath like this would certainly boost my craftster rep at school; especially when my Advisory can all help!

I would use the Peeps gift pack to craft with my 8 year old grandaughter on her birthday. Her birthday is December 12th and sometimes it kind of gets overlooked with all the hustle and bustle of Christmas.

I would use the Peeps gift pack to craft with my under 1 year old granddaughter. It would be safe, fun, and if she wants to eat it, she’ll be able to!
I love Peeps, My coworkers wife sends them in for me when the new season ones come out. It would be fun to do these wreaths with my daughters dance group. They go to the local nursing homes as do a holiday dance show, it would be awesome to beable to take these to the residents as a little Holiday Cheer.
I would just Love to win this Party Pack!! OMG! OMG! I have always wanted to craft with PEEPS! I don’t know how many PEEPS projects I have pinned. I would have my daughter and her friends helps me. I used to like to eat them but I guess I burnt out since I ate so many.
Honestly I love peeps so I would probably end up eating a lot of them! BUt i love the wreath and the Christmas Gift baskets, so I would use them in gifts to my friends!
As a home daycare provider, I could use the Peeps gift pack to make crafts at our annual Christmas party!!

Hi Sharon! Well, when I found that the wreaths were $8.00 apiece, I wasn’t able to sponsor this activity for my students. Also I could not find Peeps, surprisingly. Doesn’t Wal-mart always have Peeps? Mine did not. Crazy. I was very disappointed but I still think it’s a really cool and fun idea.
Hi Linda, Thanks so much for the feedback. I usually find the wreaths for about $6.00, and also use a 40% off coupon when I can. You’re right, that’s pretty steep for a classroom of preschoolers. I’ve had trouble finding PEEPS at WalMart, too, and have found them at Target, drug stores, and my local grocery store, too. Happy crafting! Sharon
That is an AWESOME wreath, and how cool that it’s so quick to do! I love the crafting party photos; looks like so much fun and the Peeps make everything so colorful. I think I would figure out some way to make the Peeps into fun little gifts, so I love the frosting idea.

I am a Peeps addict. I have several different display items that are Peeps including a chick pillow and of course a t-shirt with them on it.
Have you tried the peppermint PEEPS dipped in chocolate, which are new this season? I’ve resisted so far . . . not sure how long that will last, tho. Thanks for coming by, Denise.
My aunt is a huge peeps fan! She has her special way of eating them, they must be a little stale! So I would probably make her one of those adorable wreaths, with frosting “glue” of course. After displaying her festive decoration for a bit, it should be just the right amount of “staleness” for her taste
