With weather like we’ve had, dreams of hula skirts and tropical islands are very welcome. Or, maybe you’re just craving a little cozy? Either way, Beckie from Infarrantly Creative and Jen from Tatertots and Jello have you covered with two pretty, DIY fall wreaths that celebrate this Thanksgiving season.

Jen’s most recent creation is her fall wreath made with dollar store hula skirts. Now, that’s creative (and cheap). The texture of the hula skirt mimics straw so perfectly. Jen will show you exactly how to make your own Hula Skirt Fall Wreath on Tatertots and Jello.

Scalloped Felt Fall Wreath from Beckie at Infarrantly Creative.

Beckie’s Scalloped Felt Wreath reminds me of a favorite tweed jacket, or warm flannel blanket. I love the subtle tones of tan, gray and white – they’re perfect for fall. What I also love is that Beckie’s wreath is prettier, and much cheaper, than her original inspiration – a $59(!) wreath from Land of Nod.

Beckie used a die-cut machine for her felt circles, though you might also find them pre-cut on etsy. Kathleen George, who designed the Felt & Flowers Wreath featured last year on Crafts ‘n Coffee, suggests using a circle pattern and cutting them out by hand.
