It’s all treats and no tricks today. In my neck of the woods, however, there is a trickster named Sandy who has cancelled our trick-or-treating this evening. It’s rescheduled for the weekend, when the weather should be drier. But, just because we’re not trick-or-treating doesn’t mean we can’t have a little Halloween fun . . .
Our little devil is sporting a new costume this year (I confess, it’s store-bought). However, for next year’s inspiration, I’ve saved this photo from Costume-Works.com. Baxter is dressed in a red T-shirt , topped off with a mop and meatballs made from STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam.
Perhaps one of the reasons that I’m partial to Baxter is that he would make the perfect side dish for my daughter in one of her all-time favorite Halloween costumes.
And now for today’s biggest treat – the winner of the book Glitterville’s Handmade Halloween is Jeanette, who said her favorite Halloween candy is sugar cream mini pumpkins. Congratulations, and please contact me with your shipping info, Jeanette.
Thank you to everyone who entered. This is a candy-loving group, and the top vote getters were: candy corn, Snickers, Reese’s cups in all shapes, and marshmallow PEEPS.
See you tomorrow!
Happy Halloween & happy crafting.
