Well, the witching hour is almost here, which means it’s time to wrap up the Halloween crafts. So many Halloween craft and decorating ideas, yet so little time left . . . I’ll share just a few more of my favorite Halloween crafts and decorations today. (And lucky you, if you’ve waited till last minute – Halloween craft supplies are now on sale!)
When you’re little, it’s so hard to wait for Halloween. I have a few easy ghost crafts for the kiddos, which will help them channel that off-the-wall energy. Last year, Patty Schaffer shared this adorable family of Yarn Ghosts with Crafts ’n Coffee readers, and designer Dondi Richardson shared her Fuzzy Wuzzy Ghosts (below).
How about making a life-size ghost to haunt your porch or nearby tree? HGTV has an easy-to-follow tutorial for this Super-Size Cheesecloth Ghost.
Last-minute Halloween decorating doesn’t get any better than these haunting, Halloween eyeballs from Better Homes & Gardens.
I wish I’d seen these ruffled spiders when I shared a round-up of spider crafts earlier. Clean & Scentsible made this cute, Ruffled Spider (yeah, I know, can spiders be cute?) using felt circles and foam balls.
While we’re talking ruffles, I adore this collection of Ruffled Halloween Trees from Tatertots & Jello. Jen’s tutorials are always easy to follow, and you will be able to make these with time to spare.
If sewing is not your thing, here’s another idea from the Desperate Craft Wives – a Halloween Ribbon Topiary. (Hint –Halloween ribbons will be on sale this weekend.)
I’ve seen lots of black & white Halloween vignettes this season, and I think it’s such a striking combination. Ditto for these Halloween Yarn Trees from Flamingo Toes.
To wrap it up, here are two easy ideas if you’re hosting a Halloween party, or maybe helping out with a classroom party. I don’t know why, but donuts and Halloween just go together, and a Donut Tree is a fun way to serve them.
One Charming Party will also show you how to make this Lollipop Display Stand.
Don’t forget about my Halloween giveaway – you can win a copy of Glitterville’s Handmade Halloween: A Glittered Guide for Whimsical Crafting. Author Stephen Brown was a judge on the TV series Craft Wars and is also the designer behind the giftware line Glitterville. This book is a treasure, with 200+ pages of sweet & sparkling Halloween crafts and decorations.
Have you made any new Halloween crafts this year? Tell me about them!
Happy Halloween crafting!
